A Planet Earth Friendly Lifestyle ~ Go Green!

Great Wysocki Products for Eco-Friendly Decor

This can be fun when we try to create a great planet friendly product to your rooms decor. Let’s get started… with Wysocki, the cat artist.

To begin with, the key is not to overpower the room with cats. Take a look at the Wysocki cat throws and pick out just one that you like the best. Let’s pick the “all burned out” one. This is the one where two cats are sprawled beside each other in front of a fireplace. I chose this particular one to show you how to work with the colors. If you are painting the walls then go with the pale cream yellow that you see in the center of the flame.

Then from there you can go with any of the colors in the cats for your carpet. With some neutral colored furniture and the cat throw open and draped over a chesterfield the room is going to look warm, rich and inviting. It’s all a matter of working with the colors in the throw and using the throw as the focal point. With it being done line this it is not over run with cats (no pun intended) yet is a room any cat lover would find most enjoyable. When it comes to pictures for the wall go with florals or spring/summer/fall scenes of valleys and meadows. Even though the cats we are talking about here don’t forget they are part of the cat family and they inhabitant is in the natural.

There are many varieties of Wysocki cat throws to choose from. You can create a totally different atmosphere with whichever one you choose. You can actually change your room from a spring/summer time period to a fall/winter simply by changing your cat throw, a few accessories and your drapes.

If you just want to purchase a Wysocki for the sake of having one because they are such a wonderful item, then no problem just use it as the bedspread for your bed and enjoy.

It Begins with Recycling

It is important to be good to our planet earth. To become more eco friendly in our lifestyles, if we have not already is important and should not be overlooked or dismissed as someone else’s problem. Recycling is one easy solution to start an Eco lifestyle. What it really means is instead of throwing away your garbage in the trash and letting someone else sort out your mess for our planet, you could begin by disposing of trash in a more organized fashion. Let take a look at how easy this is to do.

If you live in a home vs a condo, make sure you notify the recycling center to pick up at your home. They will provide you with separate bins to help you when disposing of your trash. Paper for one, cans for another, glass for another. Pretty simple. They will come and pick it up and take it away. So, all you need to do is separate a few items from one another and bingo, you’re recycling. It’s that simple.

Next we will talk about what happens to all this stuff, like where does it go and what is it recycled into. Good question.

Heat Waves Grow Hotter

Who Knew the Climate Would Be Affected by Global Warming and Heat Waves Would Grow Hotter?

The heat waves of the future will be even hotter. Global warming is affecting the weather. The trend is pointing toward even warmer heat waves in the future. Kevin Trenberth, climate analysis branch chief for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, says that heat waves and global warming “are very strongly” connected. He confirmed that studies in the last five years have shown that climate changes are most dangerous during high temperatures, droughts and flooding. Currently, persistent high pressure systems in the upper atmosphere prevent cooler air from reaching the West Coast. California is experiencing heat waves daily. The nights are generally warmer and the days have become cooler.

It’s a fascinating topic and much controversy continues on the beliefs of whether we are simply experiencing one of mother natures cycles it goes through or the planet really is being changed by man.

Stay tuned for more thoughts on the global warming trends and our weather.
